The substantial growth and enhanced profile of the Society over the years have necessitated that our administrative management structure be headed by an Executive Director. Over the past 25 years Dr Fatima Seedat has rendered service and commitment far beyond the call of duty, while serving in the position of PsySSA Office Manager. Accordingly, the Executive appointed her to the position of Executive Director with effect from 1 June 2015.

The PsySSA office staff currently comprises Dr Fatima Seedat (Executive Director); Ms Nthabiseng Masipa (PsySSA Membership Co-Ordinator); Mr David Letsoalo (PsySSA Office Administrator) and Ms Shazia Mia (PsySSA Projects and Structures Co-Ordinator).

Shazia Mia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Psychology and International Relations from the University of Witwatersrand. Having completed her Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Psychology, she is a dedicated individual with a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others. She has also dedicated time to working at a center for autistic children. Shazia currently works for PsySSA, where she continues to apply her skills and passion for psychology. Looking ahead, Shazia is determined to further her education and pursue a Master's.


